This site is dedicated to the memory of Dorinda Rosemary Brown.

"Men may come and men may go, But I go on forever." Our beloved wife, mum, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Taken too soon, but she will be with us always. My mum passed away from ovarian cancer on 25th August 2010, just 2 days after her 53rd birthday. She was initially diagnosed in July 2008, and succesfully beat the disease following chemotherapy and surgery. She made a full recovery, however, relapsed in the earlier months of 2010. We will never forget how bravely she battled against the disease, leading as always by example, with her strong will and determination always evident. She is my hero, and I miss her very much, but I am so thankful that I had her, and for all that she taught me, and I know that she is always with us, watching and guiding us, the most beautiful star in the sky. I want to raise awareness of ovarian cancer, and plan to do some fundraising over the next while. Please email all your family, friends and colleagues the details of this page and let's make Mum proud! MARCH 2013 Once again Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month is here, so please, support Ovarian Cancer Awareness by sharing the symptoms, and if you would like, donate through this page - all donations through this page goes straight to Ovarian Cancer Action and helps them with their vital research. We also have Ovarian Cancer Awareness wristbands for sale again, if you would like one they are £1 each, please email me tamsinarmstrong@yahoo.co.uk JANUARY 2013 Just a note - so far, we have raised over £10,000 for ovarian cancer charities. Thank you to all who have helped us get to this amazing amount.xxx APRIL 2012 What a fantastic month we had!! we raised over £2000 through donations, sale of Ovarian Cancer Awareness wristbands, a bag packing evening in Asda, and a Bake Sale at Fermanagh House. We also sent out leaflets and posters to every GP surgery in Northern Ireland, and every school in Fermanagh asking them to display in staff rooms. Thank you to all who supported and donated, especially all our wonderful family and friends who helped out ion any way; as ever your support means the world to us and you have no idea how much it means to us. FEB 2012 We are working towards promoting awareness in time for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in March. We have just taken delivery of 800 posters and leaflets that we want to send to every GP in Northern Ireland to remind people of the symptoms and raise awareness of the disease. We are currently fundraising for postage to send these out, so any donations would be much appreciated! Please contact me tamsinbrown@yahoo.co.uk if you could help in any way, no matter how big or small. SEPT 2011 Dad and I are delighted to have been invited by Ovarian Cancer Action to visit their Research Centre on 20th September to see personally the work that they do there, and where all our fundraising goes. We are also delighted to be able to reveal Mum's plaque on their Tribute Wall there, a permanent display of the contributions made in her name and that thanks to her, money has been raised to fund this vital research and development. 30/06/2011 - 2nd Target of £3,500 reached! Thank you for all your help and support with this, with special thanks to Tony and Rama for their kind gesture of donations in lieu of gifts at Tony's recent birthday celebrations.
